Model Order Reduction for Large Scale Finite Element Engineering Models
Software MOR for ANSYS has been developed at IMTEK in 2003. It allows us to perform model reduction directly to finite element models developed in ANSYS. The goal of the present paper is to describe progress achieved for the last two years and review our publications with application of MOR for ANSYS to various engineering problems for different domains: heat transfer, structural mechanics, the...
متن کاملB-Spline Finite Element Method for Solving Linear System of Second-Order Boundary Value Problems
In this paper, we solve a linear system of second-order boundary value problems by using the quadratic B-spline nite el- ement method (FEM). The performance of the method is tested on one model problem. Comparisons are made with both the analyti- cal solution and some recent results. The obtained numerical results show that the method is ecient.
متن کاملOrder-incompleteness and finite lambda reduction models
Many familiar models of the untyped lambda calculus are constructed by order theoretic methods. This paper provides some basic new facts about ordered models of the lambda calculus. We show that in any partially ordered model that is complete for the theory of βor βη-conversion, the partial order is trivial on term denotations. Equivalently, the open and closed term algebras of the untyped lamb...
متن کاملNon Linear Finite Element Analysis of Reinforced and Unreinforeced Pavements
In this research a comprehensive finite element program was developed in order to carry out an elasto perfectly plastic analysis of geogrid reinforcement of a model pavement. Qualitative agreement is seen between the numerical results and experiment. The results indicate the influence of geogrid in reduction of vertical deformation of pavements. It is also seen that for strong subgrade, the opt...
متن کاملOrder Reduction for Large Scale Finite Element Models: a Systems Perspective
Large scale finite element models are routinely used in design and optimization for complex engineering systems. However, the high model order prevents efficient exploration of the design space. Many model reduction methods have been proposed in the literature on approximating the high dimensional model with a lower order model. These methods typically replace a fine scale model with a coarser ...
